Q. Do I need Planning Permission for a Modular Building?

A. This is a question we are asked a lot by our clients and a good question and the answer is YES!

All buildings that remain in site for over 28 days do require planning permission regardless of size.

Q. Do Modular building have to comply with Building Regulations?

A. Yes, all Modular Buildings need to meet current Building Regulations.

All of our buildings that we manufacture are in accordance with UK Buildings Regulations

Q. Do I need Foundations for my Modular Building?

A. Yes, design depends on your modular building and ground conditions onsite. Foundations are paramount, Elite Workspace are happy to advise or provide them as part of the package. The 2 types of foundations, normally concrete foundations or Jackpads. Click HERE to go to our foundations blog.

Q. What is the timescale for getting the building to site?

A. From the start of the build in our workshop to delivery on site is on average 4-6 weeks but this is dependent on the building specification and your requirements.

Q. How are modular Buildings delivered to site?

A. Our Modular Buildings are delivered to site on a flatbed or HIAB lorry where a mobile crane then offloads the pre-built sections into place ready to be linked together by our expert team.

Q. Do I have to project manage all the way through?

A. No, we can do this for you. We pride ourselves on our turnkey solutions so from start of the build to key handover we will be there making sure everything goes smoothly. We have our trusted trades people who can come in and connect all your necessary utilities so upon completion the building will be ready to use.
